Robert Ames is a dedicated financial planning professional with a strong foundation in investment analysis and wealth management. Raised in the Youngstown, Ohio area, Robert developed an early appreciation for hard work, discipline, and community values—principles that continue to guide his client relationships today.
Robert earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University, graduating in 2016 from the respected Farmer School of Business. Shortly after graduation, he began his career in Charlotte, NC as an Investment Associate with Vanguard, where he developed a strong foundation in portfolio construction, client service, and investment strategy.
He went on to serve as a Performance Analyst at Barings, further strengthening his analytical expertise and deepening his understanding of asset management and performance measurement. Most recently, Robert worked at Bank of America as a Senior Financial Analyst, where he refined his strategic financial analysis skills and supported complex financial decision-making initiatives.
In 2025, Robert earned his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification, underscoring his commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and fiduciary responsibility. In 2026, he joined McCombs Financial Services as a Financial Planner, where he partners with individuals and families to build comprehensive, goals-based financial plans tailored to their long-term independence.
